This 2004 fine silver proof coin commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Eureka Stockade, which took place on the 3rd December 1854 in Ballarat, Victoria. The image on the presentation box is from a watercolour by the Canadian, C.A.Doudiet, who was in Ballarat when the Eureka Stockade battle took place and is reproduced here with permission of the Ballarat Fine Art Gallery.
