Valuations
A comprehensive valuation service is available from Online Coins
Online Coins provides a thorough valuation service to provide you with the most accurate information as to the value of your collection. When assessing the value of your coins and banknotes we not only look at industry leading catalogue pricing but also take into account trends in the market, the online trading space and the current value of precious metals when making a valuation. We provide valuations for individuals, secondhand dealers and deceased estates.
We can provide a written valuation on request for your collection (fees apply) and are more than happy to provide advice on what parts of your collection are good to sell and those that are worth keeping. We will also talk to you about what options you have in making the most of your collection.
Our valuation fees are based on a maximum time frame of 2 hours, any additional hours are charged at a rate of $79.00 per hour.
Before an appointment booking can be made, we will need an idea of what your collection may involve and may require you to email a photograph to enquiries@onlinecoins.com.au of the collection to deduce an accurate amount of time to value your collection.
If you are travelling to our store for any valuation, please contact us prior to coming in to ensure we are available to value your collection and or book an appointment.

How long does a valuation take?
Obviously this depends on the size of your collection and which level of valuation you require. Free evaluations for sale to Online Coins may take longer as we do this at our cost as we may need to prioritise other work, but generally we should take no more than a couple of weeks (We will do our best to communicate to you if it may take longer due to instore circumstances). Comprehensive and Standard Valuations are a higher priority and we will endeavor to get you a result as soon as possible. For the most prompt valuation it is recommended that you contact us to arrange an appointment for a priority valuation so we can be sure we have the staff on hand to assist you. Please call 02 66213122 to arrange an appointment.
Please be aware that to perform a quality valuation, you will more than likely need to leave your collection with us. If this concerns you please arrange an appointment for a Priority Comprehensive or Priority Standard valuation and we will conduct your valuation while you wait or you are welcome to return later in the day.
Unclaimed Goods
Once your valuation is complete, wew will contact you with the result. If items are left for a period of 20 business days after the completion of valuation and we do not receive a response from you, we will sell your collection or part thereof to recover our valuation and storage costs.
