Struck by the Perth Mint in 99.9% pure silver in proof quality, this special Coin Show Special is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act I 1965.

The coins reverse portrays the grace and majesty of the Australian Black Swan in flight, by Andor Mészáros (1900-1972). The design was suggested by the artist in 1966 for the reverse of Australia's new 20 cent decimal coin. Although it was not selected, the magnificent image is fondly remembered by many for its appearance on the obverse of Australia's legendary, but unofficial, 1967 "Goose" Dollar.
