Operating under the auspices of the United Nations, Australian peacekeepers have spent nearly 60 year in some of the world's most volatile regions. Since the first peacekeepig mission to Indonesia in 1947, Australia has been involved in more than 100 missions throughout the world. From Cambodia and Rwanda, to Somalia and East Timor, more than 30,000 Australian military and police have been involved in these missions.
