DETAILS

It was the epitome of Australian luxury motoring. While a locally-made U.S. Fairlane was sold between 1959 and 1964, the fairlane badge was reintroduced in 1967 for a falcon-based, long-wheelbase flagship sedan. Yet by the mid-1970s, the fairlane faced heavy criticism for being barley distinguishable from the more affordable falcon.
