Decsription
The Invictus Games is an international adaptive sports event for wounded, injured and ill active active duty and veteran service personnel. The word 'Invictus' is Latin for 'unconquered' and embodies the fighting spirit of our wounded, injured and ill servicemen and women. The Games highlight the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation, and generate a wider understanding of and respect for those who serve their country. In 2018, the Invictus Games will be held 'Down Under' in Sydney from 20-27 October. The Royal Australian Mint proudly presents this coloured frosted coin in celebration of these Games and the 'unconquerable' spirit of the defence community.
