Beloved 1960s children's television program Skippy the Bush Kangaroo featured the adventures of an intelligent eastern grey kangaroo called Skippy, and her friend Sonny Hammond. Set in the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Skippy is regarded as an Australian icon and is stilltreasured by national and international fans today. For her 50th anniversary, Skippy and her friends are celebrated with this Coloured Uncirculated 50c coin from the Royal Australian Mint.
