Sitting pretty on the Goulburn Valley Highway in Koonoomoo, Victoria, is The Big Strawberry. Plump and vibrant red, white and green, The Big Strawberry looks as good as its inspiration tastes. Constructed with 540 metres of steel and layers of fibreglass, The Big Strawberry is six metres high with a five-metre diameter... that’s one sweet strawberry.
A welcome stop for people travelling around Victoria, The Big Strawberry heralds two acres of strawberry fields, a cafe, a playground, a production viewing area and an indoor beehive. All manner of strawberry-flavoured produce can be found, including jam, chutney, sauces, wine and liqueur.
Visitors can pick their own strawberries in season and indulge at the indoor cafe. The impressive playground is ideal for children who need to burn some energy, while the Mancave Memorabilia Museum is a treasure trove of items from yesteryear.
