Celebrating Australia’s wondrous wildlife species, the coin depicts a dynamic scene from outback Australia. Clockwise from the right, a dingo stands on a rocky perch. Two emus are positioned in the riverbed, one pausing to drink at the water’s edge. A snake lies coiled on a nearby rock, while a crocodile emerges from the water. Three kangaroos are depicted bounding across the terrain and a wedge-tailed eagle soars in flight above. The
background features a rugged mountainous landscape extending across the horizon. The design includes The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark and 2026 year-date.

The obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the coin’s weight, fineness and monetary denomination. The outer rim is adorned with illustrations of native Australian flora.
