Celebrating the FIFA World Cup 2026™, The Perth Mint is pleased to present this beautifully designed silver proof coloured coin minted from 1/2oz of 99.99% pure silver. Since its inception in 1930, the FIFA World Cup™ has united millions of football fans across the globe, showcasing extraordinary talent and unforgettable moments that transcend borders and cultures. The first tournament hosted by Uruguay saw 13 teams participate from across the globe. It’s grown exponentially since then and in 2026 the FIFA World Cup™ will host 48 teams and 104 matches, with Australia's national football team the Socceroos qualifying for a seventh appearance.

The coin’s reverse depicts a geometrically shaped football. Each shape (clockwise from the top) incorporates various elements including a kangaroo interacting with a football, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, stylised golden wattle, along with vibrant coloured patterns. In the centre of the coin is the inscription “FIFA WORLD CUP™ 2026”, and at the bottom is the official FIFA World Cup™ trademark.
