To ring in the 2027 Lunar Year of the Goat, the Royal Australian Mint presents this beautiful two-coin set featuring the gentle and peaceful Goat. With two new $1 reverse designs and outer packaging inspired by traditional Chinese 'red packets', the set makes a wonderful Lunar New Year gift for friends and family.

The Goat is the eighth of the twelve signs in the Chinese zodiac. According to legend, twelve animals participated in a race across a river to allow the Jade Emperor to establish the order of the zodiac signs. The Goat finished in eighth place, followed by the Monkey and the Rooster, the three animals had worked together to cross the river on a raft.
